1st Job - GardenHealth Banyule

One of my plans for now is to start a gardening business - for consultancy, design, setup and maintenance. I need to make some money for living expenses, build up funds to allow for some bigger projects, save up for my family's future. But I also want to gain the experience, to get good at site design. I also want to build a network of contacts locally, in the hope to start a gardening network for sharing produce, ideas, work, etc. and build some local resilience in food security.

So I started with some obvious plans - making some flyers to put up on some local noticeboards and drop in some letterboxes. Here is the flyer I made:

As I biked around, dropping flyer upon flyer in letterbox upon letterbox, looking at each house, at the yard, wondering what kind of people might find this flyer, wondering how many will just throw it in the trash... wondering if there might be better ways to do this. I thought maybe I need to reconsider my strategy. Maybe a press release? What does one do? I don't know these things.

But this week I actually got a call! And Saturday I'm going to do a consultancy and a design job after that. My first job. I'm nervous and excited.

So look forward to seeing a first design appear here soon...
