Patrick's Garden - 1st Job

Patrick likes doing some gardening, likes growing some veggies for himself, would like to get a rain tank. He mentioned thoughts about chickens, and I concurred. He seems keen on healthy food, he even made me a herbal tea. I wasn't sure at first whether I would meet with some conventional bloke who I'd have to convince of these basics.

Patrick would also like to mow less lawn. I agree with him on this one, I'm not a fan of the lawnmower, unless I can chop up organic stuff with it for compost.

He's also got a front yard and a fence open to the street, and a bus stop right there. So some privacy is desired.

There's also this front bit of yard which I'm not sure of:

I reckon this space can be filled in with more food forest and wildlife as soon as the other jobs are done. This is the entrance to his front door, so it needs to be lush and welcoming. We can replace most of this lawn with plants - considering color and fragrance for a wonderful entrance.

So I've finished my preliminary design - it's all on paper, which means it will change bits and pieces as I start working on the actual site. He was happy with my presentation, so I'm happy.
Here's my presentation:
Of course I drew up some maps:

There's only so much I can draw and plan. Working with the actual soil and elements becomes the real design work. So - to be continued - I will keep up with photos of the work as I go along.
